My Story
I'm Austin, aka Affexion. My creative journey has taken me through various mediums and genres. From a young age, I immersed myself in the world of visual arts, mastering techniques with pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, markers and more. My early passion revolved around recreating beloved comic book and video game characters.When I turned 10, my journey took a musical turn as I picked up the guitar and dedicated myself to daily practice. Over the years, I expanded my musical repertoire to include drums, bass, and the captivating world of electronic music production, using software like FruityLoops and Ableton. My musical influences are as diverse as my art, drawing inspiration from genres spanning rap and hip-hop to rock, grunge to old R&B.My artistic expression knows no boundaries, fueled by cinematic experiences, powerful moments, and admiration for iconic artists like Radiohead and Aphex Twin. I create to connect with the infinite imagination that resides in all of us. My aim is to make people think, expand their minds, trigger emotions, and invoke a sense of wonder and reflection.In recent years, I've ventured into 3D art using Blender, allowing me to craft art pieces that revolve around evocative moments and personal visions, each offering a glimpse into my rich tapestry of emotions. Many of my creations are vivid dreamscapes characterized by bold colors, often featuring sci-fi themes and central characters that narrate stories within the compositions.Having sold over 17 art pieces in the last two years and showcased my work in notable exhibitions, I'm thrilled that my art has found resonance with an appreciative audience. Currently, I'm embarking on a monumental cinematic project, intertwining a compelling narrative with my own musical compositions.
